Delhi Public School Haldwani is affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi. CBSE Curriculum is being followed at Delhi Public School, Haldwani. The school has classes from Pre-Nursery to XIth and offers Science, Commerce & Humanities stream.
Guidelines For Students
- Students are required to behave politely at all times and should not use any indecent language or indulge in fights and quarrels with each other. Any kind of unacceptable behaviour and violence in any form is strictly forbidden. All students are expected to conduct themselves with dignity, be courteous and respectful to one and all. They should greet their teachers when they meet them. Students should invariably be polite wherever they go. They should always remember that the school is judged by their conduct.
- Changing of classrooms between periods should be done silently and in an orderly manner. Students should not unnecessarily leave their class at the end of every period.
- All students are expected to take care of the school property and ensure that the campus is litter free. At Delhi Public School Haldwani, we believe that all individuals are caretakers of our Planet. We must all be responsible for promoting waste minimisation and conserving resources. Switch off lights & fans when not in use. Any sort of water leakage or dripping taps, please report to your Class teacher /Housekeeping In charge immediately.
- Indisciplined behaviour in the school premises or in school buses will result in the students being debarred from using the bus facility.
- Cell phones, MP3, I-pods, cameras, etc are strictly banned in the school. Any student found with these items will be penalized.
- Every student should take care of his / her belongings .School authorities will not be responsible for loss of such belongings.
- Students should come to school in proper uniform and must maintain proper haircuts at all times.
- Girls shall not wear any jewellery or apply nail polish when they come to school. Any kind of fashion accessories are strictly banned.
- Students who use unfair means during tests / examinations will face strict action/punishment.
- Disobedience and conduct injurious to the spirit of the school are sufficient reasons for the dismissal of the pupil.
- The school reserves the right to dismiss a student who is irregular in attendance, whose progress is repeatedly unsatisfactory, whose conduct in the school or outside is harmful to other students.
- Violations of the rules and regulations of the school and the code of conduct will render the concerned student liable to punishment.
- Under age driving is a punishable offence. Please do not drive to school.
- No monetary collection for any purpose should be made in school.
- Students are required to inform the Class teacher /school office if there is a change in their address or contact numbers.

Note
- For all students, boys and girls alike, the proper footwear both in summer and winter is black shoes. No shoes of any other colour or kind, any chappals or high heeled sandals are permissible. Sports shoes may be worn only for P.T. or games.
- Students’ Dress: Parents are advised to see that boys wear vests and underwear. Their shorts should not be too tight.
- Girls should compulsorily wear a slip.
- No student is allowed to attend any school function, in or outside the school without a school uniform.

- Grey track suits with dark green stripes, dark green round neck woollen Sweat shirt and white sports shoes in winter.
- Students selected for any school team in Cricket, BasketBall, Volley Ball and Kho Kho etc. will be required to procure the uniform for that particular game in addition to the uniform mentioned above.

Uniform Code
Boys must sport a neat look. Girls with short hair (above the collar) should wear hair bands. Hair longer than this should be tied back from the face. No jewellery, except for a wrist watch and a simple pair of earrings may be worn. Entry into school without uniform is not allowed even after school hours or on holidays. It is compulsory to wear the Sports white T-shirt on Wednesdays. On ceremonial occasions and school functions students will wear the Ceremonial Uniform.
Parents should ensure that their wards conform to the prescribed uniform code.
- Every child must possess a sleeveless sweater and a blazer for winter uniform.
- No child shall be allowed to enter school premises in casuals even if he / she is coming for an extra class / remedial class / PTM or any other purpose.
- Students are not allowed to wear casuals to school on their birthdays.
- House uniform is to be worn on specified days.
- Only green caps, green turbans and mufflers permitted during severe winters
- A child will be sent back if he / she is improperly dressed.
- Children should be properly groomed in terms of haircut, shaving and trimmed nails.
- Please note that students are not allowed to wear expensive branded shoes / sweaters to school.
- Due care must be taken to put name tags on all uniform items. This will help recover them in case of loss or exchange during PE, SUPW, Yoga or practice sessions.
- Boys: Hair must be cut short (except for Sikh students). Girls: Long hair must be tied.

The ‘Code of Conduct' states that we will respect the personal rights of all individuals and protect school property; cooperate with and support each other and take responsibility for maintaining a safe environment. The teacher’s right to teach and a student’s right to learn cannot be disturbed by the actions of others. Delhi Public School, Haldwani is committed to developing positive interpersonal relationships between members of the school community. Misconduct of any kind and degree is unacceptable.
Coming to school regularly is an integral part of a student's life. This inculcates discipline and regularity in a student, which in turn creates value systems that become an essential part of life. There is no substitute for the holistic education gained by a child in the school environment
Punctuality: Students should be present in the class at the beginning of the period and in time for all other activities and functions. Students, who arrive late without prior permission, will be required to bring a note from the Parents / Guardian which is to be handed over to the class teacher. However, if a student arrives late without permission more than thrice, he / she will not be allowed to attend class on that date.
Attendance: Attendance on the last day of school before vacation and the first day of school after the vacation is absolutely essential. However, absence on the first day will be permitted for special reasons with the prior permission of the Principal. If a student is absent without prior permission, he will be liable for disciplinary action. Students will not be allowed to leave school early. In case of such a requirement, a note from the parent has to be furnished to the Principal.
Leave of Absence: Besides the vacation period, students are not granted any leave except under special circumstances, to be explained by the parent through a note to the Principal. Prior permission has to be obtained from the Principal for this purpose. Repeated absence without leave or unexplained absence for more than six consecutive days will render the student liable to have his / her name struck off the rolls. Students who have been sick will bring a medical certificate from their doctor on rejoining school. In case of any contagious diseases, a copy of the certificate must be signed by the school doctor to certify that the student can attend school.
